Designing a Car Park Ventilation System provides an introduction to car park ventilation design, including an overview of the types of systems involved, an look at UK legislation and discusses best practise techniques in Jet Fan systems. The hour long, free course can be presented as a seminar or webinar and is aimed at MEP Consultants, Fire Engineers and Architects with exposure to Car Park Ventilation System Design.
Presenter Lawrence Gaudy-Brown is an Aerospace Engineer specialising in fluid dynamics, with 7+ years of experience in the ventilation industry and car park system design. Manages the Technical Applications and CFD Team at Woods Air Movement, and is currently leading the development of a CFD tool specifically adapted for car park systems.
Fellow presenter Erik Scheffrahn is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the ventilation industry. He has been involved in car park projects and design since their introduction in 1999, and held key roles in sales management and business development of these systems, and was a committee member of the BSI working group responsible for the development of BS 7346 part 7 ‘Code of Practice on functional recommendations and calculation methods for smoke and heat control systems for covered car parks’.
